Koottummel Bhagavati Temple

Koottummel Bhagavati Temple is located north of Vaikom Mahadevar Temple at Vaikom in Kottayam District. The presiding deity of the temple is Goddess Bhagavati, an incarnation of Shakthi.

The temple observes the famous Ashtami Vilakku on the night of Vaikathashtami. During this celebration, the procession of Koottummel Bhagavati and Moothedathukavu Bhagavati visits the Vaikom temple.
