Khudani



Situated near the border of India and Pakistan, Khudani is a small town in the Barmer District of Rajasthan. It has harsh climate and tough terrain. Ranasar, the nearest town, is around 5 km to the south. Chaitrori (12 km to the north), Harsani (14 km to the east) and Girab (15 km to the north) are some of the other nearby towns. Khudani is about 25 km from Gadra and 29 km from Jaisindhar. A temple dedicated to Lord Surya and the ancient ruins of Juna Barmer are the major tourist attractions. The three Jain temples, an inscription of 1295 and a huge pillar in the hall of the largest temple of Maharaja Kula Sri Samanta Sinha Deva - a ruler of Bahadmera (earlier name of Barmer) are also worth a visit. The Tilwara Cattle Fair is held in the nearby village of Tilwara. Jodhpur Airport is about 264 km away. Barmer Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
