Khinchan is a small village in Jodhpur District, Rajasthan. It is situated at a distance of 40 km from Jodhpur. This village in Thar Desert is the winter home of demoiselle cranes (anthropoides virgo), locally called as kurjaa. During winter season about 10,000 migratory birds visit this place. Jodhpur Airport and Jodhpur Junction Railway Station are the major access points.
