Perched at a height of about 6,387 m, Khatling Peak is in Garhwal region of
Uttaranchal. On the northern slopes of the peak is the Bandarpunch, an important glacier of
Yamuna River basin. Bandarpunch and Bandarpunch West peaks are nearby. Khatling Glacier is nearby too, which gives good view of the peak.
