The institute is recognized all over India and Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Sri Lanka as a premier institution for the treatment of kidney failure and related diseases. It is a referral centre for many Indian public sectors, and serves defense personnel covered under the Army and Air Force Group Insurance (AGI) and Naval Group Insurance (NGI). The ICU has 6 beds, with ventilatory support and pulse oximetry. Diploma courses in x-ray, lab and OT (OR) technology are offered. It is also a recognized centre for dialysis technician training programs.
