Karai Tirunatheswarar Temple lies in the north-eastern part of the town of Kanchipuram at Tirukkachinerikaraikadu. The deity of this Shivasthalam is Lord Karai Tirunatheswarar (Shiva). There is a separate worship place for
Goddess Kamakshiammai. There are two temple teerthams namely Karai and Indra teertham. Sage Sambandar is said to have sung pathigams in praise of Karai Tirunatheswarar.
