Kane Wildlife Sanctuary




Kane, spanning over 55 sq km near Likabali in West Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh, was notified as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1991. Elephants, small cats, and deer form part of the rich biodiversity here. The Kane forest is also home to the Adis, an ancient north-east Indian tribe.

Kane Wildlife Sanctuary can be reached through the Likabali-Along Road to Kane. Likabali is well connected to Itanagar, North Lakhimpur and Guwahati by regular bus and taxi services. The nearest airport is Dibrugarh and the nearest railway station, Silapathar.
