Kalwarbetta

Kalwarbetta is one of the hills situated among the Nandi Hill ranges. As the hill is high and dangerously steep, here the trekking needs great care. The trek starts from the Papagni Temple at the foot of the hills of Kalwara village and culminates at the top of the hill taking about 2 ½ - 3 hours. There is a fortress at the top of the hill, which is in full sight throughout the trek. This steep and fantastic trek through a maze of dense shrub is highly exciting. At the top of the hill, there are six series of stone walls protecting an abandoned temple. Kalwarbetta is situated about 60 km from Bangalore.
