Kalakeli Kathakali Sangam is an organization that promotes classical dances and music. It has a dance theater named Kala Keli where training is offered. This theater is in Nagaroor, a beautiful hamlet 2 km from Kovalam in Thiruvanathapuram District.
The theater specializes in Kathakali. Other art forms such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Ottan Thullal,
Carnatic Classical Music and Kalaripayattu are also taught here. Free training is provided for financially backward students. Advanced and short term courses in drama, dance, communication, body language, character portrayal and art are given. There is a course that deals with the social and cultural background of Kathakali in south India.
The organization encourages talented persons and helps them to earn their livelihood. Dance and music shows are conducted regularly.
