Jumma Masjid




Jumma Masjid is described as one among the most beautiful mosques in India. It is situated in the centre of the old city of Ahmedabad.

This congregational mosque was built by Sultan Ahmed Shah, the founder of the city, in 1423-1424. The mosque was built of yellow sandstone and it combines the best of Hindu and Muslim styles of architecture. It stands on 260 pillars supporting 15 domes at varying elevations.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and Ahmedabad Junction Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.
