Built during Hoysalas period, Javagal Jain Temple is located at Javagal in Hassan District. The temple enshrines black color idol of Bhagawan Chandranatha in the Kayotsarga posture.
A black color idol of goddess Jwalamalini along with some small idols is also seen inside the temple sanctum.
Javagal is only 5 km from Arsikere. Direct buses are available from Hassan. Arsikere Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
