Ja Megapa or Medong Ra'ona is a traditional harvest festival performed by the Garo tribe in Meghalaya. During the festival a bunch of hill paddy with half burnt firewood is ritually tied to the door post. As a mark of respect and honor, rice beer is served on arrival at the village in the evening.
