Itchu is an ideal base for the adventure enthusiasts who are on their trail from Mulbekh to the Great Himalayas. It is bounded by Lomba in the north, Bartu in the west and Gulmatungo in the south. Mulbekh Chamba and Mulbekh Gompa are within 20 km.

Itchu is easily accessible on private vehicles and taxis from Shergol, Mulbekh and Zulidok, as it is on the Kargil - Leh highway. Jammu Tawi Railway Station on the Jammu – Pathankot line serves Itchu.
