Hanuman Ghat lies at
Chinsurah in Hooghly District. The place got its name from the image of Lord Hanuman installed here. This idol was erected by the employees of the Police Department. Since this ghat holds an idol for Goddess Annapurna, it is also known as Annapurna Ghat.
By road, Chinsurah town is 50 km away from Kolkata. The nearest railway stations are Chinsurah and Hooghly. Ferry services are also available across the Ganges to reach this place.
