Haleshwar Sthan, a charming hamlet with much religious importance, is located 3 km north-west of Sitamarhi in Bihar.
Haleshwarnath Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, is the major landmark in the village. Legends have it that this temple was founded by King Videha.
Patna Airport, approximately 120 km south, is the nearest airport.
Sitamarhi Railway Station, on Raxaul-Darbhanga rail route, is the nearest major railway station.
