Gwal Devta Temple is located at Gwarail Chaurah. The temple is devoted to Gwal Devta who is also known as Goril or Goll. It is said that Goril was a Katyuri prince of Champawat. He was known for his unwavering justice and fair play. However, he was himself a victim of a conspiracy hatched up by his stepmother who had him thrown into a river, locked up in an iron cage. Devotees believe that Gwal Devta helps the victims of injustice and cruelty and hence, his temple stands as a mark of justice. A large number of devotees visit this temple throughout the year.
