Gurpa Railway Station is on the Gaya-Dhanbad railway line. It is under the administrative control of the Dhanbad division of East Central Railways. Jammu Tawi-Sealdah Express runs through this station.
The station is located about 40 km from Gaya. Gujhandi Railway Station, the nearest main station, is situated to the east of Gurpa. Traveling north-west, Gaya Junction Railway Station is the major halting point next to Gurpa.
