Government Autonomous Post Graduate College was established in 1872. It is one of the pioneer institutions in central India. The college is affiliated to the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. It was reorganized by the State Government in 1990. The college offers education in arts, science, commerce, and law. It has a centralized library with approximately 56,000 books on various subjects. Hostel and sports facilities are also provided.
