Garja Puja



Garja Puja is the most popular and important festival of the tribal people of Tripura. It is celebrated on the 7th day of the month of Vaisakh (April).

People believe that this celebration will bring prosperity and happiness for the whole year. Cocks are sacrificed during the festival. The celebration reaches the zenith when women and men dance with joy.
