Gangotri Emporium, a state emporium run by the government of Uttar Pradesh, started functioning in 1960. Located on Lindsay Street at Kolkata, it offers a wide rage of handicraft and handloom items from the state of Uttar Pradesh. Items made of brass, marble and stone, carved wooden furniture, handicrafts, woolen carpets and sarees and salwar suits with Lucknow chikan work are available. The emporium also deals in stone carvings of Agra, brass carvings of Muradabad and wooden handicraft items. The prices of the items range from Rs 50 to Rs 30,000 and seasonal discounts are provided.
