Gampa

Lying at an elevation of 9,658 ft, Gampa is a scenic village in Kargil District. It is about 182 km from Srinagar – the capital of Jammu and Kashmir and is north-east of Kargil.

Urdas Langpa, Garkhun nullah and Lalung Glacier are some attractions within 20 km. By road, Gampa is accessible on the Kargil – Leh route. Jammu Tawi Railway Station on the Jammu – Pathankot line serves this place.
