Established by Kekoo and Khorshed Gandhy on September 16, 1963, Gallery Chemould in Mumbai is one of the oldest privately-run art galleries in India. The gallery can be easily accessed from the airport and railway station. Gallery Chemould has been an important part of the modernist and contemporary art movement. The Gallery houses the works of artists such as Anju Dodiya, Arpita Singh, Bhupen Khakhar, Jitish Kallat, Jaishree Chakravarty, Nilima Sheikh, Sheela Gowda, Harsha N S and Pilloo Pochkhanawala.
