Dharampura




Dharampura is tribal village near Ajaygarh, in Panna District of Madhya Pradesh. It lies towards the district’s northern border with Satna District, about 36 km away from Panna, the administrative headquarters.

The village is surrounded by dense forests and illegal stone quarries and is inhabited mainly by Bhumias, a sub-caste of the Gond Tribe. A 19 km stone wall, nine ft high and three ft wide, built around Saktara and Dharampura villages to protect crops from wild animals, is a major landmark.

The nearest major railway station is Satna Railway Station.
