Perched at a height of 11,276 ft above sea level, Dems is a small village in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. Darchiks is just three kilometers north of Dems.
Dems is an ideal base for the mountaineers and trekkers who are on their trail to the Great Himalayas. Lalung Glacier is within a short distance from here.
