Formed in 1873 at Chennai, the Cosmopolitan Club is one of the oldest and prominent clubs in India. It provides residential facility to members, members' guests and affiliated club members with all amenities such as AC and TV. There are 26 rooms and 2 suites. The club runs a vegetarian restaurant, multi cuisine restaurant, roof garden restaurant, AC bar at upstairs, and a mini-bar at the lawn. Party halls and an auditorium are also available.
There is a library which has a collection of a large number of books. Other facilities include billiards and cards room, swimming pool, squash court, gymnasium, tennis court, internet center, beauty parlor, and golf.
Casual wears are permitted, but shorts or pool attire is allowed only in sports area and swimming pool.
Cosmopolitan Club is about 8 km from Chennai International Airport. Chennai Central Railway Station is the convenient railhead.
