Corjuem



Situated on the banks of the Mapusa River, Corjuem is in the eastern region of Bardez taluk of North Goa District . It is close to Bicholim taluk and is 2 km from Aldona. Sirigao is 6 km north-east.

Corjuem Fort, built in 1705 by the Portuguese, near Aldona is the major draw. The bridge built on the lines of the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge to connect Corjuem with Aldona is a source of attraction. Church of Our Lady of Miracles and Mapusa Market are accessible from here.

Mae De Deus High School is a premier educational institution in this place. Ferry services are available from Aldona to Corjuem.

Goa Airport and Thivim Railway Station serve the place. Ratnagiri-Margao rail route passes close by.
