Situated in Virajpet, the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (CIDS) is a professional institute, managed by the Coorg Dental and Medical Sciences Trust, a body of professional doctors. It is recognized by the Dental Council of India and affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The institute is spread over an area of 20 acre and its peaceful environment is conducive to learning. It offers four year under graduate course leading to Bachelor in Dental Science(BDS). The campus has a large canteen, a well stocked library, laboratory block, audio-video room and separate hostels for girls and boys.
