College of Forestry, established in 1986, is under the faculty of forestry department of the Kerala Agricultural University. The college offers BSc and MSc programs in forestry and related subjects. It has departments for silviculture and agro-forestry, tree physiology and breeding, forest management and utilization, wood science, and wildlife science.
Facilities include well equipped laboratories, instrument room, xylarium, entomology museum and a computer room. A forestry museum is also maintained in the college. Besides, the college has a library with a rich collection of core books in subject matter areas of forestry.
In addition to regular teaching programs, the faculty members are involved in research activities on various fields of forestry and allied areas. Over 100 research projects have been completed/ being carried out in the college.
College of Forestry is situated at Vellanikkara in Thrissur District, along the side of the Thrissur-Palakkad National Highway. Thrissur Railway Station is around 15 km away.
