Cochin Carnival



Cochin Carnival is held at Kochi, and is celebrated at the time of New Year. The origin of the carnival can be traced back to the New Year celebration of the Portuguese in the colonial days. The occasion is famous for conducting unique games and competitions. The Carnival is celebrated during the last week of December and is ended on the New Year day with a grand procession.
