Chutru is a small town located in the Garhwa District of Jharkhand. The town is about 10 km south of Ranpura and 10 km north of Ramanuj Ganj. Gursandhu Waterfall in Ranka Kalan is the main nearby attraction.
Varanasi is around 177 km north-west of Chutru. Ranchi, the state capital, is about 200 km south-east.
Varanasi Airport is the nearest airport and Garhwa Railway Station is the closest railhead.
