Chunnambar is an ideal picnic spot at Ariyankuppam, 6 km from Pondicherry Town. It is famous for its scenic backwaters and long sea shore called the Plage Paradiso.
The Water sports centre located here has facilities for swimming, kayaking, yachting, boating, wind-surfing and playing beach volleyball. There are tree top houses and a multi-cuisine restaurant for accommodation and dining needs.
Chunnambar is on the Cuddalore main route. Pondicherry Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
