Inaugurated in 1950, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCRC), is a premier cancer center (RCC) for the eastern region of the country under the control of the Government of India. The hospital is equipped with therapeutic facilities like modern X - ray, ultra-sonography and CT scan, linear accelerator, cobalt machines, brachytherapy units, computerized simulator, and endoscopes. It conducts a wide range of cancer research and provides modern facilities for cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliation and rehabilitation.
