Also known as Tsomgo, Chhanggu is located in East Sikkim District in Sikkim. It is about 35 km north-east of Gangtok and is near Gangtok - Nathu La Highway.
Chhanggu lies at an altitude of 12,923 ft and commands panoramic views of the snowcapped mountains and vast stretches of the valleys below. Best time to visit this town is between May and August. The place is suitable for hiking and trekking.
Tsomgo Lake along with a small temple of Lord Shiva is the worth visiting site here.
Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Darjeeling Railway Station are the convenient airport and railway station respectively.
