Chandrehi Shiva Temple



Chandrehi Shiva Temple, built in the middle of 10th century in Shikhara style, is situated at Chandrehi village of Sidhi District, Madhya Pradesh.

It has a circular sanctum of 16 offsets, a vestibule with a stepped and gabled roof, and a porch enclosed by balustrades. The temple possesses simple podium-moldings and plain walls, which are divided into two using a median band. The shikhara of the temple is decorated with a lattice design of a pristine form with its tongue projecting beyond the shoulder course. It has a plain door way and ceiling with projections.
