Established in 1980, Chandigarh Kennel Club strives to help the canine lovers in and around Chandigarh. It is affiliated with the Kennel Club of India (KCI), having its headquarters at Chennai.
The main object of the club is to promote pure blood line dogs and encourage breeding and rearing of puppies. It also helps in processing applications for importing dogs, dog registrations, litter registrations, dog transfers and other certificates of canine interests.
Chandigarh Kennel Club conducts annual dog shows which attract many participants from far and near. The club is managed by a 19 member committee.
