Chandershekhar Temple

Chandershekhar Temple is a beautiful shrine located in Saho Village near Chamba in Himachal Pradesh.

Built in Shikhara style, the temple is dedicated to Lord Chandershekhar (Lord Shiva). The Shivlinga enshrined here is about 5 ft in length and is the biggest in size in the district. In front of the temple is a stone carved image of Nandi. A noteworthy fact of this idol is the jingle sound of a bell produced when tapped at the throat portion.

Baisakhi Festival, celebrated here amid much pomp and splendor, is a major draw.

The temple can be reached by bus from the Chamba Bus Station.
