Chambil Mesara



Chambil Mesara, also known as Pomelo Dance, is a solo dance form performed in the Garo Hills of Meghalaya. This dance requires high skill. The performer dangles a pomelo on a cord tied to his waist. Then he hurls the pomelo round his waist without any perceptible movement of the hips. Experts can swing two to four pomelos.
