Central Pulp and Paper Research Institute



Central Pulp and Paper Research Institute (CPPRI) in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is an autonomous body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Established in 1980, its main objective is to promote the research and development associated with the pulp and paper industry.

The institute assists in the research work of other societies and institutes. The research and development activities focus on industry oriented research programs.

Sponsored research projects are carried out, and consultancy and technical services are made available in the areas of raw material preparation, pulping/bleaching, papermaking, chemical recovery, effluent treatment, energy conservation and air pollution.

Besides, CPPRI organizes seminars, training programs and interaction meets.
