Brahmpur is located in Darbhanga District of Bihar. It is near Kamtaul. Darbhanga, the district headquarters, is about 25 km south.
The main attractions are Gautam Kund and a temple dedicated to Gautam Rishi. Legend has it that Lord Brahma appeared before Gautam Rishi at this place. It is also believed that Gautam Kund was created by Lord Brahma.
Nearest airport is at Patna. Kamtaul Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
