Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary



Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary is located south-west of Munger District in Bihar. It lies in the famous Kharagpur Hill range and is south of Ganges.

Covering an area of about 682 sq km, the forests are famous for hot water springs. Tiger, panther, wild boar, sambar deer, chitals and nilgai are the major fauna found here.

There are two fully furnished forest rest houses at Bhimbandh.

The sanctuary is 65 km south of Munger. The nearest airport is at Patna. Bhagalpur Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.

It is situated about 10 km off the Munger-Jamui state highway.
