Bhimashankara Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, is situated at
Kashipur, near Nainital. Within the temple complex lie other shrines dedicated to
Bhairavanath and Parvati. There is a sacred temple tank called as shivganga. Mahashivratri is celebrated here with great pomp. The temple attracts pilgrims who come here seeking peace and happiness.
Nainital is well-connected to other nearby cities and towns by buses. The nearest railway station is at Kathgodam, 35 km away and the nearest airport is at Pantnagar (71 km).
