Bhandawad



Bhandawad is a small hamlet situated in the Atrunja taluk of North Goa District, about 4 km from Ponda. The village, otherwise known as Bhanda-Vatika, is famous for a Mahalakshmi Temple built by Saraswat Brahmins in the 15th century. The calm and serenity of this village attracts a number of people from far and near. Nearby lies another Mahalakshmi temple at Kolva, about 6 km from here.
