Bhagirath Shila is a slab stone found near the temple of Gangotri. It is the spot where Raja Bhagirath used to worship Lord Shiva. A natural rock
shivlinga was found from the river Ganges. Lord Shiva is said to have sat here when he received the Goddess Ganga in his matted locks.
