Barua




Barua is a small town located in the south-western region of the Kinnaur District in Himachal Pradesh. It lies on the Sangla-Chirgaon trekking route and is about 8 km south-west of Rekong Peo, the district headquarters. Some of the prominent tourist spots near the town are Jorkaden Peak, Raldang Peak, Nako Lake, Kanda Lake, Kinnaur Kailash Range, Kanam Monastery, Mahabodhi Kinnaur Buddhist Temple, Lippa Monastery, Baspa Valley and Rupi Bhabha Sanctuary. Dehradun Railway Station and Shimla Railway Station are the main access points. Shimla Airport and Kullu Manali Airport are the closest airports.
