Avalurpet

Avalurpet of Viluppuram District lies on the road to Chetpet from Thiruvannamalai. This place, in the northern region of the district, is close to Thiruvannamalai District border.

Valathi, on the Gingee-Arani State Highway, is 16 km east. Gingee, a prominent town as well as tourist destination, is 20 km away. Melmalayanur, known for Angala Parameswari Temple, is directly connected by road with Avalurpet.

Thiruvannamalai Railway Station is a major railhead nearby. Closest airport is Chennai International Airport.
