Aritar Lake

Aritar Lake is situated at Aritar, about 55 km away from Gangtok, in East Sikkim District. It is also known by the name Ghati-Tso. With its pleasant view and the quiet nature, it attracts scores of tourists.

Another attraction here is an old British-built bungalow of 1895, around half-a-kilometer below the lake. The bungalow also offers a night stay, which could be an enthralling experience.

Aritar can be approached by a travel of four hours from Gangtok. New Jalpaiguri Railway Station in West Bengal is the closest railhead, which is 125 km from Gangtok.
