Amayur is a small settlement situated on the State Highway 23, about 6 km north of Pattambi , in Palakkad District. It lies 20 km north-west of Shoranur and around 56 km from Palakkad.

Nearest airport is at Coimbatore. Pattambi Railway Station serves Amayur.
