Balughata is a picnic spot by the side of the
Haldi river in
Midnapore District. It is a calm and delightful place where the sea breeze from the
Bay of Bengal hits the waterfront, causing continuous ripples on the water surface. In the evening, one can find flocks of birds returning to their nests against the backdrop of a radiant hue of the setting sun.
