Govind Ghat




Govind Ghat is three km away from Pandukeshwar in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. It is situated on the confluence of Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga rivers, near Ghangharia. The ghat derives its name from Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru, who came here on his way to Hemkund. The Guru is said to have meditated here. Govind Ghat is sacred to both Sikhs and Hindus. Yogadhyan Badri Temple, Tiprabamak Glacier, Govind Dham and Joshimath are nearby.
