Musanagar

Situated about 65 km away from Kanpur, Musanagar is an archeologically important location. Main attraction is an ancient temple of Muktadevi believed to be built by Raja Bali.

A large fair is held here during Kartik Poornima. From the roof of the temple, visitors get a breathtaking view of the Sengar River joining the Yamuna. Musanagar is an ideal place for research scholars of history, as the place holds many specimens and artifacts dating back to the Maurya, Kushana, Shunga and Harappan periods.
